Explain CLR

In : Subject : C Sharp

The implementation of CLI is the Common Language Runtime. The Microsoft.NET Framework's basic runtime engine for executing applications. Cross-language integration, code access security, object lifecycle management, resource management, type safety, per-emptive threading, metadata services (type reflection), and debugging and profiling assistance are all provided by the common language runtime. CLR is hosted by the ASP.NET Framework and Internet Explorer, for example.

The Common Language Runtime (CLR) is a multi-language execution environment. Microsoft and other firms are actively developing over 15 compilers that produce code that runs on the CLR.

The CLR is referred to as."execution NET's engine." It is this CLR that is in charge of programme execution. It creates the conditions in which the programmes can run. The CLR version of.NET is the version that is used in software.
