What is Process ? Or Define Process

In : BCA Subject : UNIX and Shell Programming

The distinction between a process and a programme influences the definition of a process. A programme is a disk-based, static item known as a file. The /bin/ls programme, for example, is used to list files in the current directory.

You generate a process when you run a programme. To put it another way, a process is an ongoing activity. This one will be changed back because the meaning is quite precise here, and I want to maintain the original. Your version sounds better, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. programme.
